On September 3rd west Milford fire companies were dispatched to Clinton road to assist NJ Forest Fire Units at a wildland fire. Fire companies provided a draft site and tanker shuttles provide water for forestry hose lines

Location: Otterhole Rd
On August 16,2025 at approximately 0958hrs, Companies 4,1 and 6 were dispatched to an Otterhole Rd address for a reported unknown fire. Chief 1 arrived on scene and found a residential structure with heavy fire and smoke showing on the Alpha side of the building declaring a working fire. The West Milford Fire Department Tanker Task force was requested to the scene Which brought all 6 West Milford companies to the scene.
Due to the volume of fire, Butler Ladder and Ringwood Tanker was requested to the scene. Engine 4 arrived on scene and deployed an initial attack line into the structure for fire suppression. While making an interior attack, the fire began to darken but the conditions began to worsen with heavy low banking smoke and high heat. The crew exited the building and began an exterior attack with heavy fire on the Alpha side of the building. Once visible fire was extinguished, crews re entered the building for an aggressive interior attack which was successful.

On August 8th Company 1 was dispatched to the city of Paterson for mutual aid assignment for 1 tanker. due to a water main break and parts of the city being without water. While members were providing assistance they were dispatched to a working fire and provided water supply to Paterson fire units.
Tonight, some of our members got re-certified in CPR. Huge shout out to West Milford First Aid Squad for sharing their time, instructors, and manikins!

This morning, our members participated in the annual Independance Day parade held in High Crest Lake. We wish everyone a fun and safe holiday weekend🎉🇺🇸
